Bahama Beach Waterpark will be holding a job fair on Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 10am – 1pm at Thurgood Marshall Recreation Center (across the parking lot from the waterpark) for individuals interested in summer employment at the park.  Download and fill out the General Screening Application and the Screening Questions from the links on this page for the job you are interested in, then bring them to the job fair with you. We generally have 8-10 applicants for each available position so be sure to answer the questions carefully and dress to impress.

Lifeguards – $9.00/Hour

Duties include enforcing rules, ensuring guest safety, providing water rescue assistance and first aid as needed, ensuring the correct use of water attractions, attending all required training sessions, and performing general park cleanup duties. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time in varying weather and water temperatures. Must be able to successfully complete the offered Ellis & Associates Waterpark Shallow Water Lifeguard Course. Must pay $75 fee for class.

Concessions Staff – $8.50/Hour

Duties include preparing and serving food and beverages according to health department guidelines, collecting cash, making change, and operating a point of sale system, keeping foodservice and work areas clean, attending all required training sessions and providing customer service to guests. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time in varying temperatures.

Cashiers – $8.50/Hour

Duties include providing customer service, collecting cash, making change and operating a point of sale system, making retail sales, conducting inventory, completing office duties including opening and closing procedures and knowledge of park rules and regulations. Gate Attendant – $8.50/Hour

Duties include providing customer service, performing turnstile operations, enforcing safety rules and park policies and performing general park cleanup duties. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time in varying weather and temperatures.

Party Host – $8.50/Hour

Duties include providing customer service, facilitating guest birthday parties and private rentals, and performing general park cleanup duties. Primarily works only when parties or groups are scheduled. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time in varying weather temperatures.

Waterpark Attendant – $8.50/Hour

Duties include providing customer service, enforcing safety rules, dispatching guest on attractions and enforcing height/weight restrictions and swimsuit policies. Performs general park cleanup duties. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time in varying weather conditions and water temperatures. All waterpark attendant applicants must be able to successfully complete the provided CPR and First Aid course. Must pay fee for class.

EMT (Emergency Medical Technicians) – $12.00/Hour

Duties include, ensuring guest safety, providing first aid/medical attention to guest and assisting the water rescue staff, attend all required training sessions, report and maintain all first aid supply and equipment, and performing general park duties. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time in varying weather and water conditions. Minimum requirements: possess a current EMT-Basic Certification offered by the State of Texas DSHS for Emergency Medical Technicians.

Food And Beverage Supervisor – $12.00/Hour

Duties include supervising food and beverage team in training, scheduling, preparing, serving food & beverages and keeping food service work area clean according to heath department guidelines. Operating a point of sale system and closing out POS each day and filing reports. Ordering food and meeting with vendors and suppliers. Attending all required training sessions and providing customer services to guest. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time in varying temperatures. Additional duties will be assigned as needed to assist in supervision of other areas of Waterpark Operations. Three years of experience and Certifications in Food Management is preferred.

Water Safety Supervisor – $13.00/Hour

Duties include supervising water safety team in training, scheduling, in-service training, rescues, and basic first aid, ensuring correct use of water attractions and monitoring team performances. Attending all required training sessions and providing customer services to guest. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time in varying temperatures. Additional duties will be assigned as needed to assist in supervision of other areas of Waterpark Operations. Three year experience and E&A Waterpark Lifeguard; Instructor License is preferred.

Guest Service Supervisor – $11.00/Hour

Duties include supervising gate, grounds and party host team in training, scheduling and assisting team as needed. Attending all required training sessions and providing customer services to guest. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time in varying temperatures. Additional duties will be assigned as needed to assist in supervision of other areas of Waterpark Operations. Two years experience is preferred.

Cashier Supervisor – $12.00/Hour

Duties include supervising cashier team in training, scheduling and providing customer service, collecting cash, operating a point of sale system and closing out POS each day and filing reports, conducting inventory, ordering supplies and completing office duties including opening and closing procedures.
